Mattress and Furniture Warehouse Sale Raises Over $100,000 for Malouf Foundation™

LOGAN, Utah—The Malouf Foundation™ announced today that the Malouf™ Mattress and Furniture Warehouse Sale raised more than $100,000 to support their flagship cause to confront child sexual exploitation. The Malouf Foundation™ is the non-profit arm of Malouf Companies™.

“Community involvement is essential to the work we do, and we appreciate everyone who supported the warehouse sale and donated to the Malouf Foundation™,” said Kacie Malouf, co-founder of Malouf™ and board chair of the Malouf Foundation™. “It’s direct reflection of how people are engaged in the cause and want to make a positive impact.”

The Malouf Foundation™ confronts child sexual exploitation by providing education, promoting healing and furthering advocacy for survivors. A few of their initiatives include OnWatch™, Raise™, Smart Defense™, Rooms Restored™, Juniper Scholarship™ and the “We Believe You” campaign.

Funds raised during the recent warehouse sale will allow the Malouf Foundation™ to expand these initiatives, specifically Rooms Restored™. Rooms Restored™ is a room makeover program dedicated to creating restorative spaces for children who’ve endured sexual abuse by providing individual room restorations and advocacy program renovations.

Individual room restorations provide child survivors an opportunity to makeover their bedrooms through a safe, trauma informed process and referral-based program. Upon approval, survivors receive a catalog for them to pick out furnishings for their bedroom—allowing them to have a choice in creating a unique space just for them.

Advocacy program renovations provide communities and organizations with a new space that supports the healing process. From interview rooms to waiting areas, these advocacy spaces are renovated to be warm and inviting, so survivors can feel safe as they take their first steps on their healing journey.

To date, the Malouf Foundation™ has completed over 25 room restorations, with 10 more projects currently in the works.

From the beginning, the Malouf Foundation™ has been committed to 100 percent flow-through, which means every dollar donated to the charity directly benefits survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking. All administrative and operational costs are assumed by Malouf™.
